OPEN DOOR CHURCH

It is a great joy to introduce you to our church. Open Door is a community of believers who have a passionate desire to provide a place where you can personally experience Life in Jesus Christ. Open Door is not just our name, it’s a description of our heart, and we are wide open to people from all backgrounds, regardless of where they are in their spiritual walk. We began in 1995 as a food outreach to the poor, and only started the church out of necessity to disciple the people we were reaching out to. Today, our Food Bank gives away well over a million pounds of food every year to the hurting in our area and our church has grown to step up as a significant contribution to the body of Christ in our region. Together we are working hard to become the kind of church described in the bible. We teach relevant life giving truth and reach out to build honest friendships among us. So whether you’re a spiritual seeker who’s just starting to ask questions about God, or a committed Christian who wants to sink the roots of your faith even deeper, you can find a home here at Open Door Church.

“The relationship with our partner church (Tiferet Yeshua) in Israel connects us to the Holy Land and puts us a very real face to our stand with God’s promised land and people. It’s an amazing privilege!”

“Kevin, as you know Bridge of Hope connected me with Maoz last year. It’s been a wonderful connection in so many ways but let me share a testimony with you about an exceptional way this connection has benefited us.Open Door started supporting Maoz at $300 a month sometime last year, and since that time, literally from the very month we began supporting Maoz, our church finances have greatly increased and our attendance has literally doubled from about 500 people a week to sometimes more than 1200 just on Sundays!!!!! PTL!!!! So 2 months ago we decided to double our support and this time we did it through SPARK, our orphanage ministry. Our yearly fundraiser event soon followed and last year we raised $14,000. This year right after we began supporting Maoz, our fundraiser brought in $96000!!!! God blesses the gentile part of his body when we support the Jewish members of His body. Please pass this to my brother in Israel and tell him we love him and pray for him.”

Tiferet Yeshua (Glory of Jesus)

At Tiferet Yeshua Congregation we know there is no true outreach without discipleship. New-born babies must be nourished or they die. Tiferet Yeshua congregation was founded in 1995, and has been a central focus of our calling from the beginning, with an emphasis on raising up spirit-directed new generation of leaders.

Shira and Ari Sorko-Ram, both Israeli citizens, married in 1977 and have been ministering in Israel since then. As Messianic Jews, Ari and Shira direct Maoz Israel Ministries.

They also encourage and sponsor born-again Jews returning to the land of Israel. They help immigrants set up small businesses, help them with immigration, and have fought for the civil rights of Jewish believers in Yeshua (Jesus) in the land of Israel.

Ari and Shira reside in Ramat Hasharon, Israel. They have two sabra (born in Israel) children, three granddaughters and one grandson.

They have been pioneers of the Messianic Jewish movement in Israel, and have recently “passed the leadership baton” of Tiferet Yeshua to Pastor Ron Cantor.
